A clear alternative.
By using a series of clear removable aligners, Invisalign straightens your teeth right before your eyes. Change them every 2 weeks, your teeth will move—little by little, week by week—until they have moved to the final position our doctors have prescribed. Comfortable to wear, our aligners are also removable so you can eat, drink, brush, and floss as usual.
Less treatment time.
A typical Invisalign case takes about a year from start to finish. You’ll see Dr. Tracy or Dr. Huber in our Tempe dental office every month to see how you’re progressing. Every visit you’ll be given additional aligners to continue your treatment. Commonly, the number of aligners worn during treatment is between 18 and 30, but treatment time and a number of aligners will vary from case to case.
Invisible. And comfortable.
Invisalign is an invisible solution. So you won’t draw undue attention to your mouth while in treatment. In fact, virtually no one will know you’re wearing them unless you tell. Comfortable to wear, our aligners are also removable so you can eat, drink, brush, and floss as usual.
Is Invisalign for Me?
Invisalign can be used to treat the vast majority of common problems for adults and teens.
Whether your smile needs minor improvements or more extensive adjustments, Invisalign can certainly help. It's successful in treating crowded or spaced teeth. It can also relieve more complex issues, including overbites, underbites and even crossbites. In fact, an Invisalign Certified Orthodontist or Dentist can use Invisalign clear aligners in all or part of just about any treatment plan.
Look your best during treatment.
Invisalign is clear and practically invisible, so nothing gets in the way of your new smile. No wonder Invisalign is the choice of over half a million people.
- Unobtrusive in business meetings or social gatherings
- No metal wires or bands to irritate your mouth
- Most people won’t notice you’re wearing aligners
What Is Invisalign?
Invisalign is a revolutionary new orthodontic treatment that requires patients to wear clear, removable aligners that straighten your teeth throughout a few months or a year. Instead of wearing wires and brackets, you get to enjoy smooth aligners made of plastic, and as a result, Invisalign does not come with the same limitations as traditional braces. Nothing will be able to stop you once you acquire your very own Invisalign in Tempe.
Who Is a Candidate for Invisalign?
There are several questions you need to ask yourself before pursuing Invisalign. First, our team of doctors will determine if your malocclusions can be corrected with these aligners. Invisalign will not work if the misalignments are too severe, but it is effective at treating the following:
- Crowded teeth
- Gapped teeth
Our dentists will also ask you if you are dedicated to correcting your smile. The reason for this is that the aligners are removable. It is acceptable to remove them for up to two hours every day. If you keep them out for any longer than that, then your teeth will not move into the desired positions in the designated amount of time. That means you need to be ready to wear them even when you are asleep.
Additionally, our dentists will take your age into account. Invisalign in Tempe is great for older teenagers and adults because their teeth have already emerged fully. It will not work as well for younger children. Their teeth are still growing, so they may need traditional braces. However, it remains a great option for adults who do not want to have readily apparent braces. You will be capable of fixing your smile without anyone even knowing.
How Invisalign Works?
The process begins with a consultation with our Invisalign-trained dentist. After it is determined you are a good candidate, records (impressions and photos) are taken. A customized digital plan will show each step in the process of transforming your smile completely. Once the case is accepted, the aligners will be fabricated and sent to the Doctor. You will receive your first set of aligners that you will wear between one and two weeks. This is determined by the doctor, depending on the severity of your case. Each set you receive will gradually move your teeth into the desired spots over the course of treatment. Treatment times vary depending on the severity of your case.
You will then need to schedule routine appointments with our dentist once every four to six weeks. The purpose of these visits is to ensure your aligners are working as planned. In the event our dentist needs to make adjustments, then you can get those done before your teeth move in an unplanned way.
What Are The Benefits Of Invisalign?
There are several reasons why more people than ever before are seeking out Invisalign in Tempe. The aligners will fix your misaligned teeth. Therefore, the first benefit you get is a better overall appearance. Your smile will be fixed through a treatment plan that is less apparent than traditional braces.
Invisalign is just as the name implies…it is virtually INVISIBLE!! Most people cannot tell that you are wearing them. Most patients speak very clearly with them in, so that is another reason people don’t know that you have them in.
Invisalign is also a much safer option. Conventional braces consist of wires and pieces of metal that can rub against the inside of your cheek and your gums. This makes braces uncomfortable, especially if you play any sports. Invisalign uses clear, smooth plastic that is not abrasive in the slightest.
Another key benefit is the fact that Invisalign is removable. Unlike conventional braces, the aligners can be removed to more effectively clean the teeth. You don’t have all that hardware for food to get trapped in and to work around to keep your teeth clean. Decay and decalcification are much less likely with Invisalign.
Invisalign In Tempe
One major benefit is that you get to eat most of your favorite foods with Invisalign. You are unable to eat nuts, popcorn, caramel, and other tough foods with braces. However, since you can remove your aligners during meals, you can eat whatever you like throughout the treatment. You only need to make sure you brush and floss your teeth before putting your aligners back in. With so much to gain, it just makes sense to contact Tempe Smile Design at your earliest convenience to see if Invisalign is right for you.
